Nambu ironware has been cast in Morioka and Mizusawa since the seventeenth century. This 600 ml teapot carries the arare (“hailstone”) texture that keeps the surface evenly warm, and a bamboo-wrapped handle that stays cool to the touch.
The interior is enamel-coated, which makes it a true teapot rather than a kettle: steep directly in the pot using the stainless infuser, pour, and rinse. It keeps tea hot for far longer than ceramic.
