Komorebi (“we”, “us”) operates the online shop at ahalives.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (for the carrier) and the items you buy.
- Account details: if you create an account, your email, password (stored hashed) and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) kept for 14 days for security.
How we use it
To process and ship your order, to answer your messages, to send order and shipping updates, to send our newsletter if you asked for it, to prevent fraud and to meet our legal obligations in Japan. We do not sell or rent personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the companies needed to deliver your order: shipping carriers (name, address and phone), payment providers (payment details only), and our hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf under contract. Carriers and customs authorities in your country may also receive the commercial invoice required by law.
Cookies
We use the cookies needed for the shop to work: to remember your cart, to keep you logged in and to secure checkout. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 7 years as required by Japanese tax law. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are deleted after 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any email. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Where data is stored
Our shop is hosted in Japan. We comply with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and, for customers in the EU and UK, with the GDPR.
