Mino washi has been made from kozo mulberry bark in Gifu for 1,300 years and is on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage. These sheets are formed by hand on bamboo screens, which gives them their soft, slightly irregular edges and a surface that takes fountain pen ink beautifully.
Twenty A5 sheets with faint guide lines, ten matching envelopes lined with a pale indigo paper, and a sheet of washi seals.
