Yokan is the oldest of Japan’s tea sweets: azuki beans cooked down with sugar and set with agar into a firm, sliceable block. These are made by a confectioner in Tokyo using Tokachi azuki from Hokkaido and unrefined kokuto sugar for a deeper, almost caramel finish.
Three individually wrapped 60 g bars. Shelf-stable for six months unopened; once opened, keep in the fridge and finish within a week.
