Washi tape was invented in Kurashiki when a group of artists asked a masking tape factory to print on its paper. It is now a small national obsession. This set has six 10-metre rolls in patterns drawn from kimono fabrics: seigaiha waves, asanoha hemp leaf, plum, bamboo, a faint grid and a solid indigo.
Use it in journals, on gift wrap, to label jars, or to fix postcards to the wall without marking the paint.
